So how many of you lunatics are waking up before dawn this Friday to take advantage of the super duper Black Friday deals? Come on, let's see those hands...oh wait, you can't raise them because you're all in straight-jackets.
Nonetheless, if you've ever attempted the Black Friday thing, you know what you're in for: by 10 a.m. you're ready to murder an elderly person just for show, by noon you've stolen a bottle of milk from a baby just to maintain your energy, by 2 p.m. you've lost all faith in humanity (especially soccer moms), and by 5 p.m. you stare at your filthy, bag-laden hands and wonder if you'll ever look at yourself in the mirror again. Well this time things'll be different! The Audubon Park Garden District (that's Corrine Drive and Winter Park Road) has got just the tonic for your shopaholic bender: Wine-down Black Friday.
Starting at 6 p.m., you can plunk down $10 (and what's that compared to the Scrooge McDuck-sized fortune you blew earlier that day?) and start blotting those horrible, horrible Black Friday memories away. You get all the wine, beer, and music (thanks to spots like Stardust Video and Coffee and Park Avenue CD's) it takes to replace buyer's regret with drunkard's remorse. Oh, and there will be Christmas cookies there, too. The party goes until 9 p.m., so get there early and let the healing begin!
